02The adapter

A Connectify-owned Odoo adapter, not a packaged connector

The adapter neutralizes that by keeping the Odoo adapter inside our own runtime, monitored by our SRE rotation and updated as Odoo S.A. ships breaking changes. That means the field maps, sync cadences, and replay rules are shaped to your exact data model — including Full XML-RPC + JSON-RPC coverage for any Odoo model and Full XML-RPC + JSON-RPC coverage for any Odoo model. For distributors, the difference shows up the first time the upstream API throws a 500 — the adapter retries, journals the failure, and never silently swallows a transaction.

Where Odoo usually breaks — and how the adapter holds

Most operators bleed margin in tier pricing, rebates, and territory accounts. The adapter neutralizes that by mapping every payload through a versioned schema layer with explicit lineage — every record can be traced from the Odoo originating event down to the field that wrote it, and the founder gets a real dashboard instead of spreadsheets. The adapter also ships with Full XML-RPC + JSON-RPC coverage for any Odoo model so the runtime can keep up when distributor crews push volume spikes during seasonal peaks.

Why Distributors pull Odoo integration the hardest

Distributors are constantly fighting tier pricing, rebates, and territory accounts — and Odoo sits exactly in the middle of that workflow. Connectify pre-maps the Odoo entities the industry actually uses (not the entire vendor catalog) and wires Multi-database aware deployment for partner installs into the lifecycle that matters: procure-to-pay. That is the difference between a connector that lights up a checkbox and an adapter that and ops finally trusts the data without manual reconciliation.

Commercial terms — one flat monthly plan, no setup fee

Connectify charges a monthly retainer sized to your message volume — no per-API-call gotchas, no per-seat surcharges, and no setup fee to get started. The Odoo adapter goes live only after it is reconciled and signed off by the team that will operate it inside the distributor workflow. A one-page exit clause hands you the code if you ever leave, so Connectify keeps the adapter working under load to keep your business.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Does it work with our existing Odoo licenses?

Yes — the adapter rides on top of your existing Odoo subscription. We use service-principal or OAuth M2M credentials so the integration never burns a named-user seat and never pushes you into a higher tier.

  2. What happens if Odoo changes their API after we go live?

Our SRE team monitors Odoo change announcements and rolls compatibility updates inside our maintenance retainer. If a breaking change ships, we own the migration; you don't pay extra to stay current and you don't field calls from the vendor.

  3. How long does the Odoo integration take to ship?

Our standard window is thirty days from signed scope to live Odoo adapter in production, plus a one-week monitored stabilization phase. For Distributors, that includes a sandbox loop with your team, parallel-run reconciliation, and a documented runbook handed to your operations lead.

  4. Do we own the integration code at the end?

Yes. The Connectify Odoo adapter ships with full source escrow rights — at any point you can request a snapshot of the code, configuration, and runbooks. We prefer you stay on our managed runtime, but you are never locked in.

  5. Can the Odoo adapter handle our custom fields?

On first connection the adapter discovers every custom field, custom object and custom workflow inside your Odoo tenant and presents them as first-class mappings — you decide which to mirror, which to ignore, and which to enrich.

  6. Is this a packaged Odoo connector or a custom build?

It is a Connectify-owned adapter, not a third-party packaged connector. We maintain the code, we monitor the runtime, and the fields, hooks, and reconciliation rules are shaped to your exact data model — not a generic schema we hope matches.
