02The adapter

A Connectify-owned SendGrid adapter, not a packaged connector

Connectify removes that friction by keeping the SendGrid adapter inside our own runtime, monitored by our SRE rotation and updated as Twilio ships breaking changes. That means the field maps, sync cadences, and replay rules are shaped to your exact data model — including Domain authentication automation (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and Event Webhook bringing bounces and complaints into Connectify. For law firms, the difference shows up the first time the upstream API throws a 500 — the adapter retries, journals the failure, and never silently swallows a transaction.

Where SendGrid usually breaks — and how the adapter holds

The day-to-day pain shows up in time tracking, matter management, and trust accounting. We collapse that workflow by mapping every payload through a versioned schema layer with explicit lineage — every record can be traced from the SendGrid originating event down to the field that wrote it, and ops finally trusts the data without manual reconciliation. The adapter also ships with Transactional API coverage with templating engine so the runtime can keep up when law firm crews push volume spikes during seasonal peaks.

Why Law Firms pull SendGrid integration the hardest

Law Firms are constantly fighting time tracking, matter management, and trust accounting — and SendGrid sits exactly in the middle of that workflow. Connectify pre-maps the SendGrid entities the industry actually uses (not the entire vendor catalog) and wires Event Webhook bringing bounces and complaints into Connectify into the lifecycle that matters: plan-to-make. That is the difference between a connector that lights up a checkbox and an adapter that so the warehouse team stops chasing emails.

Commercial terms — one flat monthly plan, no setup fee

Connectify charges a monthly retainer sized to your message volume — no per-API-call gotchas, no per-seat surcharges, and no setup fee to get started. The SendGrid adapter goes live only after it is reconciled and signed off by the team that will operate it inside the law firm workflow. A one-page exit clause hands you the code if you ever leave, so Connectify keeps the adapter working in production to keep your business.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Do we own the integration code at the end?

Yes. The Connectify SendGrid adapter ships with full source escrow rights — at any point you can request a snapshot of the code, configuration, and runbooks. We prefer you stay on our managed runtime, but you are never locked in.

  2. Can the SendGrid adapter handle our custom fields?

On first connection the adapter discovers every custom field, custom object and custom workflow inside your SendGrid tenant and presents them as first-class mappings — you decide which to mirror, which to ignore, and which to enrich.

  3. Will this break our existing reports?

No. The adapter writes through a versioned schema layer with full lineage. Existing reports, BI extracts and Excel pivot-tables keep working unchanged while new fields and new objects are added behind the scenes for the SendGrid surface.

  4. How is data security handled?

Tokens and credentials live inside a hardware-backed secret store with audit logging on every read. The SendGrid adapter runs on isolated workers with deny-by-default egress, and every message is replayable from a tamper-evident journal for downstream forensics.

  5. What happens if SendGrid changes their API after we go live?

Our SRE team monitors SendGrid change announcements and rolls compatibility updates inside our maintenance retainer. If a breaking change ships, we own the migration; you don't pay extra to stay current and you don't field calls from the vendor.

  6. What does pricing look like?

The SendGrid adapter runs on a flat monthly retainer sized to message volume — no per-API-call gotchas, no per-seat surcharges, no setup fee, and a one-page exit clause.
