02The adapter

A Connectify-owned Shopify adapter, not a packaged connector

The platform handles that by keeping the Shopify adapter inside our own runtime, monitored by our SRE rotation and updated as Shopify Inc. ships breaking changes. That means the field maps, sync cadences, and replay rules are shaped to your exact data model — including Storefront, Admin and GraphQL coverage with bulk operations and Multi-store profiles handled in a single configuration. For subscription box brands, the difference shows up the first time the upstream API throws a 500 — the adapter retries, journals the failure, and never silently swallows a transaction.

Where Shopify usually breaks — and how the adapter holds

The day-to-day pain shows up in churn, kitting, and forecasting each cycle. The platform handles that by mapping every payload through a versioned schema layer with explicit lineage — every record can be traced from the Shopify originating event down to the field that wrote it, so the warehouse team stops chasing emails. The adapter also ships with Shopify Markets currency, tax and language routing so the runtime can keep up when subscription box brand crews push volume spikes during seasonal peaks.

Why Subscription Box Companies pull Shopify integration the hardest

Subscription Box Companies are constantly fighting churn, kitting, and forecasting each cycle — and Shopify sits exactly in the middle of that workflow. Connectify pre-maps the Shopify entities the industry actually uses (not the entire vendor catalog) and wires Storefront, Admin and GraphQL coverage with bulk operations into the lifecycle that matters: procure-to-pay. That is the difference between a connector that lights up a checkbox and an adapter that so customer service finally sees the same record sales does.

Commercial terms — one flat monthly plan, no setup fee

Connectify charges a monthly retainer sized to your message volume — no per-API-call gotchas, no per-seat surcharges, and no setup fee to get started. The Shopify adapter goes live only after it is reconciled and signed off by the team that will operate it inside the subscription box brand workflow. A one-page exit clause hands you the code if you ever leave, so Connectify keeps the adapter working on month-end close to keep your business.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What does pricing look like?

The Shopify adapter runs on a flat monthly retainer sized to message volume — no per-API-call gotchas, no per-seat surcharges, no setup fee, and a one-page exit clause.

  2. Do we own the integration code at the end?

Yes. The Connectify Shopify adapter ships with full source escrow rights — at any point you can request a snapshot of the code, configuration, and runbooks. We prefer you stay on our managed runtime, but you are never locked in.

  3. Does it work with our existing Shopify licenses?

Yes — the adapter rides on top of your existing Shopify subscription. We use service-principal or OAuth M2M credentials so the integration never burns a named-user seat and never pushes you into a higher tier.

  4. Will this break our existing reports?

No. The adapter writes through a versioned schema layer with full lineage. Existing reports, BI extracts and Excel pivot-tables keep working unchanged while new fields and new objects are added behind the scenes for the Shopify surface.

  5. Can the Shopify adapter handle our custom fields?

On first connection the adapter discovers every custom field, custom object and custom workflow inside your Shopify tenant and presents them as first-class mappings — you decide which to mirror, which to ignore, and which to enrich.

  6. What happens if Shopify changes their API after we go live?

Our SRE team monitors Shopify change announcements and rolls compatibility updates inside our maintenance retainer. If a breaking change ships, we own the migration; you don't pay extra to stay current and you don't field calls from the vendor.
