02The adapter

A Connectify-owned Workday adapter, not a packaged connector

The runtime takes care of it by keeping the Workday adapter inside our own runtime, monitored by our SRE rotation and updated as Workday, Inc. ships breaking changes. That means the field maps, sync cadences, and replay rules are shaped to your exact data model — including Payroll cost allocation pushed as Workday journals and Tenant-isolated mapping per business unit. For law firms, the difference shows up the first time the upstream API throws a 500 — the adapter retries, journals the failure, and never silently swallows a transaction.

Where Workday usually breaks — and how the adapter holds

The friction surface that matters is time tracking, matter management, and trust accounting. We collapse that workflow by mapping every payload through a versioned schema layer with explicit lineage — every record can be traced from the Workday originating event down to the field that wrote it, and the founder gets a real dashboard instead of spreadsheets. The adapter also ships with SAML SSO with position-aware role mapping so the runtime can keep up when law firm crews push volume spikes during seasonal peaks.

Why Law Firms pull Workday integration the hardest

Law Firms are constantly fighting time tracking, matter management, and trust accounting — and Workday sits exactly in the middle of that workflow. Connectify pre-maps the Workday entities the industry actually uses (not the entire vendor catalog) and wires Worker, position and organization replication on a 5-minute cadence into the lifecycle that matters: plan-to-make. That is the difference between a connector that lights up a checkbox and an adapter that and the founder gets a real dashboard instead of spreadsheets.

Commercial terms — one flat monthly plan, no setup fee

Connectify charges a monthly retainer sized to your message volume — no per-API-call gotchas, no per-seat surcharges, and no setup fee to get started. The Workday adapter goes live only after it is reconciled and signed off by the team that will operate it inside the law firm workflow. A one-page exit clause hands you the code if you ever leave, so Connectify keeps the adapter working across your full team to keep your business.

05FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can the Workday adapter handle our custom fields?

On first connection the adapter discovers every custom field, custom object and custom workflow inside your Workday tenant and presents them as first-class mappings — you decide which to mirror, which to ignore, and which to enrich.

  2. Will this break our existing reports?

No. The adapter writes through a versioned schema layer with full lineage. Existing reports, BI extracts and Excel pivot-tables keep working unchanged while new fields and new objects are added behind the scenes for the Workday surface.

  3. How is data security handled?

Tokens and credentials live inside a hardware-backed secret store with audit logging on every read. The Workday adapter runs on isolated workers with deny-by-default egress, and every message is replayable from a tamper-evident journal for downstream forensics.

  4. Does it work with our existing Workday licenses?

Yes — the adapter rides on top of your existing Workday subscription. We use service-principal or OAuth M2M credentials so the integration never burns a named-user seat and never pushes you into a higher tier.

  5. Do we own the integration code at the end?

Yes. The Connectify Workday adapter ships with full source escrow rights — at any point you can request a snapshot of the code, configuration, and runbooks. We prefer you stay on our managed runtime, but you are never locked in.

  6. Is this a packaged Workday connector or a custom build?

It is a Connectify-owned adapter, not a third-party packaged connector. We maintain the code, we monitor the runtime, and the fields, hooks, and reconciliation rules are shaped to your exact data model — not a generic schema we hope matches.
